Privacy Policy
How KibbeTypes handles your information and privacy choices.
1. Introduction
Welcome to KibbeTypes (“we,” “our,” or “us”). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website at kibbetypes.com (the “Site”), including any subdomains, and use our services.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Site or our services. The privacy choices described below apply according to your location. Using the Site does not replace consent where the law requires it.
2. Regional Privacy Compliance
We use privacy measures suited to each region so we can meet the legal requirements of your jurisdiction. Our approach varies based on your location and applicable privacy laws:
2.1 GDPR Regions (European Union, United Kingdom and Switzerland)
In regions where GDPR applies, we use Google's consent tool to collect and apply your choices for Google services. This means:
- A Google consent banner presents the available choices
- Your selections are saved and applied to Google services
- You can modify your consent preferences through the “Manage options” feature in the consent banner
- Optional analytics and advertising cookies remain off unless you consent where required
2.2 California (CCPA and CPRA)
For California residents, we comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) by:
- Providing clear notice about data collection and use
- Offering ways to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information
- Maintaining a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in our footer (CCPA requirement)
- Respecting your rights to know, delete, and opt out
- Honoring supported Global Privacy Control signals for advertising choices
2.3 Other Regions with Privacy Laws Requiring Consent Banners
In other regions that require a consent message or more restrictive privacy settings, we use the country or region reported by our services to present the appropriate choices. We do not rely on browser language or time zone alone.
- Privacy messages appear where required
- Optional cookies begin with the settings required for the region
- The notice explains the choices available to you
- You can revisit your choices through the privacy preferences page
2.4 Other Regions
For other regions, we:
- Use analytics and advertising as allowed by law and our service settings
- Let you change your choices through our Privacy Preferences Center
- Apply your saved privacy choices
3. Information We Collect
We collect information from you when you interact with our Site in the following ways:
3.1 Information You Provide to Us
We may collect the following types of information when you complete our Kibbe type quiz:
- Your answers to quiz questions
- Quiz results and recommendations
- Time taken to complete the quiz
- Quiz completion and interaction events
- Email address (only if you choose to receive quiz results via email)
We do not connect quiz answers to an email address unless you choose to provide one. We use the address to deliver your result. We use it for optional marketing only when you separately consent, and you can withdraw that consent at any time. We may use result and duration information without your email address to improve the quiz and our services.
3.2 Information Automatically Collected
When you access our Site, we may automatically collect certain information about your device and usage, including:
- Internet Protocol addresses and related network information processed by our hosting, security, and service providers
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Device information
- Pages visited and time spent on those pages
- Referring website addresses
- Click patterns and user interactions
- Country and region information reported by our service providers
This information helps us understand trends, operate the Site, and learn how visitors use its pages.
3.3 Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect information about your browsing activities. Cookies are small data files stored on your device that help us improve your experience, see which areas of our Site are popular, and count visits.
We use the following categories of cookies, which you can control through our preference center:
- Necessary cookies: Support the Site and features you request

You can control your cookie preferences through your browser settings or by visiting our Privacy Preferences Center. However, disabling necessary cookies may limit your ability to use some features of our Site.
4. How We Use Your Information

5. Advertising and Affiliate Programs
Our Site may display advertisements and affiliate links from other companies. The use of these services depends on your consent preferences and regional requirements.
5.1 Amazon Associates Program
KibbeTypes is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As part of this program:
- We may display product recommendations with links to Amazon.com
- When you click on these links, you will be redirected to Amazon.com
- Amazon controls cookies and tracking after you choose to visit Amazon, subject to its own privacy choices and policy
- We earn a commission on qualifying purchases made through these links
Amazon's use of your information is governed by the Amazon Privacy Notice, which can be found at Amazon.com Privacy Notice.
5.2 Rakuten Advertising
When you choose a recommendation provided through Rakuten, KibbeTypes records the product, page placement, and a random click identifier, then redirects you to an approved Rakuten tracking destination. The destination includes a campaign token that cannot reveal its inputs. We create it from the product, merchant, placement, and campaign version. It does not contain your name, email address, quiz answers, order number, or another reversible customer identifier.
Rakuten may report commercial events to us under its publisher agreement, either as aggregates or as individual transactions. We discard raw reports after processing and retain digests, hashed transaction keys, normalized signed amounts, revision history, and aggregated evidence needed for ranking, fraud review, and payment reconciliation. We do not use this evidence to identify or profile individual readers.
5.3 Google Ads and Advertising Partners
We may use Google AdSense to display advertisements on some public pages. Google may display personalized, nonpersonalized, or limited ads, or no ads, according to applicable law and your privacy choices.
Google's use of advertising cookies (when you have provided consent) enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our Site and other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
If you decline advertising cookies or personalization, Google may still display contextual or limited ads where allowed. The Privacy Preferences Center can save your preference against advertising cookies and personalization on this device. This choice controls how advertising data is used, but it does not hide every advertisement.
6. Analytics
We may use Google Analytics on some public pages to understand how people use the Site. With your consent, analytics may use cookies. If you decline, Google may receive limited measurement information without placing analytics cookies where allowed.
Google's ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Analytics Terms of Use.
We may use this information to understand trends, plan improvements, and assess how our services perform.
You can control analytics through our Privacy Preferences Centeror by using the Google Analytics browser tool for opting out.

7.4 Business Transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, purchase or sale of assets, or transition of service to another provider, your information may be sold or transferred as part of such a transaction.
